In order to have a faster speed of development, what’s the most effective way of developing technology has been an issue generated much discussion. Scientists come up with two main areas we should improve which are scientific theory and practical application. Unfortunately, it is very difficult to make great progress in both the two aspects. So the issue cited here is which of them plays a more important role and can benefit people more. In this essay, comparison of the two main aspects occupies large space. The two main focus of comparison is short-term benefits and long-term benefits.

In terms of short-term benefits, the acceptability and efficiency are considered. Conversely, in terms of long-term benefits, variety and endurance are examined. Using A. Einstein and A. Nobel’s examples for reference, it gives clearer comparison and strong supporting evidences. With regard to all the four areas that has been compared, I think that practical application is more important, especially in today’s world.
